New – Six-Week Sunday School Class

Study: 1 Corinthians, a more in-depth look at this letter.

Where: Virtually, 11 am to noon via Zoom each Sunday (Registration link below)

Description: We will look at the context, setting, and culture when 1 Corinthians was written to increase our understanding of this message. We will brainstorm ways to be empowered from Paul’s words to the Corinth’s church of Corinth. Please join us for this interesting discussion. We will read two to three chapters each week. Please read chapters 1 and 2 before our first class on Feb. 21. However, if you do not read these chapters before class, please come anyway and participate in the conversation.

Shelly Ballard Bio:

Shelly grew up and attended Harmony UMC for the past 20 years. After earning her Bachelor of Science from George Mason in Environmental Science, she felt called into ministry. In her final semester at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington DC, she will earn her Masters of Divinity. Her calling is to be ordained as a Deacon in the United Methodist Church. She also works at Starbucks and enjoys crafting, animals and nature.
