We have returned to indoor worship at both 8:30am and 11am. We are also live streaming the 8:30am service to reach those that may not be comfortable coming out to worship.
So what does this mean? How does indoor worship differ from pre-COVID worship? Please remember, all Virginia UMC churches are following the same indoor worship guidelines set by the Conference.
–Seating and distancing will be very different as we maintain 6 foot guidelines. This means we have a limited number of seats in the sanctuary (maximum 35-40) with overflow seating in Driscoll Hall.
–No singing – music will be recorded or played during worship but no live singing.
–No need to bring your chair!
–Everyone to enter the church by the main entrance – we will all exit by the side door.
–Children message and worship will occur like we have done in outdoor worship.
–No need to register to attend nor do you need to complete the online health form.
–Hear a thoughtful message to be inspired!
We need your help to keep us all safe and continue down this road…..
We all need to:
- Stand 6 feet apart from people who are not in your household
- Wear your mask at all times
- Make sure you do not feel sick, have a cough, fever, shortness of breath, chills, congestion, or loss of taste or smell before coming to church.
- Making sure you have not been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID in the past 14 days.
We are very excited about being back indoors.
If you have questions about the Virginia Conference guidelines please look on the Conference website or ask one of us on the Healthy Congregation team.
