People who love God serving people whom God loves!
The United Methodist Church is an 11-million-strong global church that opens hearts, opens doors and opens minds through active engagement with our world. John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action.
We believe in welcoming all those who come through our doors. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus says “Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” We strive to be that place of rest and comfort. It doesn’t matter where you are on your faith journey. If you want to take the next step in following Jesus, then this is a place where you will be accepted and nurtured.
We believe in serving others inside and outside the walls of the church. When people serve, we believe it changes lives. As we serve, we connect with others, create relationships and grow our faith. Through serving, the good news is shared. This is the purpose we are here on earth to live.
“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you gave me clothing, I was sick and you took care of me, I was in prison and you visited me…Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” (Matthew 25:35-36, 28:19)
We believe that through Worship, Fellowship, Studies and Service we are able to grow in our faith.
- Worshiping allows us to praise and thank God for the work he has done in our lives.
- Fellowshipping allows us to meet others and create new friendships
- Studying allows us to grow closer to each other and God.
- Serving allows us to use our spiritual gifts to lift up others.
