Heather Robért- Preschool Director
I live in Leesburg with my husband Matt and our two sons. Ian is a recent graduate of JMU (Go Dukes!) where he majored in Marketing with a concentration in Digital Marketing. Owen is a Senior at Tuscarora High School where he is involved in Key Club and NHS, is a sports photographer and plays on the Varsity lacrosse team. When I am not at preschool, I enjoy being in my kitchen experimenting with new recipes or spending time with friends and family exploring our wonderful town. I enjoy being on the water and during the summer you can find me at my happy place- the lake or beach. I also enjoy travelling especially going on cruises!
I am excited to begin my 11th year as a Preschool Director and my third year at Harmony. I enjoy coming to work each day and am blessed to have an amazing team of teachers, wonderful students and families and a very supportive church family. I look forward to all of the fun things we have planned over the next nine months and watching your children grow in confidence and independence.
Karen Cokain (Assistant Teacher 3’s)
I live in Leesburg with my husband and my three children. My children are young adults now with the youngest in his junior year of college.
I started out helping my children’s teachers during their elementary years. After three years of volunteer work with those teachers, I was hired by a preschool in Leesburg. I worked there as an assistant in one of the four-year-old classes for eight years. I was also the arts and crafts teacher for five of those years for both the three-year-old and four-year-old classes. I also assisted in a self-contained K-2 autism class for LCPS. I enjoy watching the children develop and grow throughout the year; discovering Gods world through their eyes is wonderful.
Jenn Dooley (Enrichment Assistant Teacher)
I live in Leesburg with my husband, two daughters (both in middle school), and one beagle. I have a BS in Early/Middle Childhood Education from Ohio Dominican University. I previously taught middle school in Ashburn for eight years before staying home with our girls. I have taught preschool for the last four years and absolutely love it. I was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio and am a HUGE Ohio State Buckeyes fan! Our family enjoys working in our garden, playing games, movie nights, supporting one another at sporting events, being with friends/family, and of course having fun together! I have always had a passion for teaching and am so excited for a great year!
Mary Fehr (Lead Teacher Pre-K 4’s)
I have eleven years of experience working with children in a preschool environment. I have held various positions over those years including Assistant Teacher, Teacher, Financial Administrator, and Assistant Director. In addition, I have served for twelve years on the Christian Education Committee at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. I am thrilled to be in the classroom and working one on one with our amazing students.
When my husband and I moved to Leesburg 31 years ago, it was a very different place. We have two beautiful children who continue to keep us very busy despite the fact that they are young adults. Our son, Adam, graduated from Christopher Newport University in January. He is currently working for Loudoun County Parks & Recreation. Our daughter, Amy, is a senior at George Washington University. She is a Bio-Medical Engineering major and was just accepted into the master’s program. Our most recent family member is a beagle puppy named Bailey. If your child is in my class, they will come home with all kind of entertaining Bailey stories. When I am not busy with my family, I enjoy crafting, reading, gardening, and spending quality time with my friends.
I have been truly blessed by the relationships I have built during my journey as an educator. I look ahead with anticipation and excitement for all that God has in store for the coming year.

I live in Hamilton with my three children. My oldest is Julia; she is 13 and a student at Blue Ridge Middle School. Jackie is 11 and a fifth grader at Kenneth W. Culbert Elementary School. My youngest is Ryan; he is 8 and in second grade at KWC also. Jackie and Ryan are alumni of Harmony Preschool and we loved our time here. We have a dog named Maple and a one-eyed tortoise named Milo. We love to read and spend time in the backyard. I love to cook for my family, practice yoga, and tend to my plants and pets. I have volunteered in my children’s classrooms, and I studied education in college. This is my first year at Harmony Preschool and I am so excited to get to know your little ones!

I have an AA in Early Childhood Education, and 9 years of teaching experience. This is my 3rd year at Harmony Preschool, and I am so grateful to be part of such a talented team. My students make me smile every day, and my goal is to teach them new skills and help build their confidence. Thank you for sharing your children with us!
Susan Pryes (Assistant Teacher 4’s)
I live in Hamilton with my husband John of 22 years, our two children John 16 and Kelly Mae 13 and our two dogs. They are both involved in sports so when we are not at a baseball tournament or tennis we enjoy hanging out at home.
This is my 8th year at Harmony Preschool. I have a BS in Business Administration from Pfeiffer University. I enjoy reading, playing games, and being outside. My favorite is watching the children’s faces light up when they learn something new and fun!
